Sam Phillips

Sam is an Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Consultant who loves driving inclusive leadership and business change.  She joined Included in 2023.

Sam’s background is as a Chief Marketing Officer (Omnicom, Time Inc., ITV) and global Leadership Exec who took up simultaneous EDI leadership reins.  At Omnicom she founded multicultural marketing consultancy OMG UNITE in 2009, was Exec Sponsor of Omniwomen | Women in the Workplace | Omnicom Group and OPEN Pride | Omnicom Group and the global founder of OPEN Disability.  Sam ultimately led EDI across 50 businesses and 9,000 people at Omnicom, driving EDI change across both workforce and outputs. Since establishing herself as a freelance EDI consultant Sam has worked with the Executive and Board teams of Lloyds of London, the ECB (cricket) and RPC Law, delivering analysis, strategy, action-planning and leadership confidence to drive genuine – not incremental – EDI change

Sam is a sought-after speaker (10, Downing Street, Council of Europe, PwC, Barclays, schools), Trustee of The Valuable 500, and a Fellow of the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (for services to EDI).  She was recently awarded a Distinction in Sustainable Business Leadership from Cambridge University (CISL).
